Imports and Exports
Imports
With ever changing rules and regulations around the importation of goods for many this could be the first time having to declare their products, this process can seem rather daunting.
The experienced team at MCE Logistics are here to help, offering a fast, efficient service with compliance at the forefront of everything we do. With the ability to clear goods through all major points of entry, we can offer a cost-effective solution for your business.
Exports
We can issue an EAD (Export Accompanying Document) for goods leaving the UK. The EAD provides proof that the goods have been ‘permitted to progress’ by HMRC. We can also raise T1 documentation via Dover and Folkestone, for goods moving under transit.
Product of animal origin (POAO)
Goods derived from animals or containing ingredients from animals, these meat, fish and dairy products are known as POAO. These goods require a CHED (Common Health Entry Documents) and needs to be inspected at a Border Control post such as the one in Sevington.
With excellent links with local Port health authorities, access to IPAFFS and our in-house specialist with over 35 years dealing with products of animal origin, MCE logistics with its proximity to the Sevington Border Control post has the expertise and knowledge to manage these products on your behalf.
Rail
With customers looking to reduce their carbon footprint, many of our clients are now using direct rail services into the UK. With our ability to clear these containers and arrange onwards delivery we are helping these customers to achieve their ambition to reduce road miles.
APHA / DEFRA
Most fresh produce will require notification to either DEFRA or APHA in the near future. We have extensive knowledge with access to the relevant software to notify arrival of your product within the time scales and legal requirements set out by the UK Government.
Organic Products
Linked via PHILIS, (The Port Health Interactive Live Information System) we have the ability to inform local authorities of the arrivals of organic produce into the UK. With strict controls, timescales, and yearly audits by the UK organic bodies such as the Soil association. MCE Logistics will manage the notification process to ensure you are compliant.
